Chris Wykel

Director of Generative AI. Building production AI systems across North and Central America.

I build AI systems that run in production, not in demos.

As a Director of Generative AI, alongside building AI fluency across my organization, I lead an AI solutions software development team that builds and ships AI systems all across North and Central America. My team and I ship solutions that create real business value, often designed to scale across multiple organizations and divisions.

My writing focuses on the structural shift toward an agentic future, how AI agents are changing the way software is designed, how buyers discover products, and how organizations capture business value from these trends. Some pieces examine how customer discovery is moving from human-navigated search to agent-mediated recommendation, and what happens when the AI names your competitor and never mentions you. Others take on agentic-first application design, software built around agent interactions rather than screens and forms, and the practical advantages it creates in development cost, training time, and productivity. The common thread is forward-looking and practical: what is changing, why it matters, and what leaders can do about it now.

The technical threads running through my work relate to MCP and AI agent harnesses, and the optimization of LLM use, especially in the business setting. The Model Context Protocol is emerging as the standard interface that AI agents use to discover and query the systems they rely on, and agent harnesses are the scaffolding that turns model capabilities into reliable, repeatable workflows. Together they shape how organizations capture business value from these trends, tools, and technologies, and I write about how to put them to work before the opportunity becomes a gap.

The Future Is Agentic.

Articles on how AI agents are reshaping software design, product discovery, and the economics of being found. Each piece was published first on LinkedIn, and each one stands on its own.

Talks drawn from operating experience.

The Future Is Agentic

An overview of how AI agents are replacing the human-navigated web as the default path to product discovery, and what that means for revenue, brand, and channel strategy. Grounded in systems shipping today, not roadmap promises.

Why Your Business Is Invisible to AI

A practical breakdown of the gap between ranking well on a search results page and being present in the answer an AI model gives a buyer. Covers the concrete signals agents look for and the structural changes required to provide them.

Building Production Agentic Systems in Manufacturing

How an industrial portfolio deploys AI that holds up under real operational load, covering architecture, governance, the difference between a demo and a system of record, and the organizational discipline required to keep the line between them clear.

MCP: The Interface Standard Your Buyers' AI Is Already Using

Why the Model Context Protocol is becoming the connective tissue between AI agents and the systems they query, and what your organization needs to expose, structure, and govern so that buyers' agents can actually find and understand your offering.
